Mount of Olives view

from $65.00

Dominus Flevit is a Roman Catholic Church located on the Mount of Olives, Jerusalem, Israel/Palestine. Dominus Flevit is Latin for “the Lord wept.” Blurred in the distance, through the window, you can see Jerusalem, its ancient walls and the Temple Mount. Today many Jews desire to be buried on the Mount of Olives because of Zechariah 14:4, when the Messiah comes, the resurrection of the dead is believed to begin there. For Christians, the Mount of Olives is significant because it is where Jesus fervently prayed, with sweat like blood, for his Father to “take this cup from me.” Jesus was then arrested before being crucified (Luke 22:39-54). Luke 21:37 also mentions Jesus spent each day teaching in the temple and each evening on the Mount of Olives.
