Not all healing needs words. Art Therapy speaks in color, in silence, in you.
When words fail, art remains.
Art therapy offers a safe space where the unspoken is seen, and the unseen is felt. Through color, line, and form, your soul emerges—gently, honestly, without demand. The process itself becomes the voice, the witness, the balm. In the quiet of creation, healing begins—not by speaking, but by being.

One-hour supervision sessions with a Registered Art Therapist (ATR)
I remember vividly the burnout, the uncertainty, and the fear-inducing moments that come with working in a high-intensity clinical environment. If you're navigating your ATR hours, I’m here to support you — not just as a supervisor, but as someone who truly understands the challenges of this field. During my art therapy internship, I worked with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I.D.D.) and older adults. From 2020 to 2025, I worked in a psychiatric hospital setting, serving clients of all ages on an acute psychiatric unit, including military personnel, and treating a wide range of mental health diagnoses. Most recently, I served as an art therapy professor at a university. I bring clinical depth, academic insight, and a strong commitment to helping you grow into a confident, ethical, and resilient art therapist.$75/hr

About Megan
I have always been an artist—long before the titles, the training, or the praise. Art school taught me how to seek approval, how to shape beauty into something that could be seen, applauded, or sold. But it wasn’t until I dove into the world of art therapy that I truly began to see.
There, art became more than just a product—it became a portal. A way inward. A language for the unspeakable.
Through this journey, I found pieces of myself I did not know were missing. I followed brushstrokes back to my truth, and in that space of creation, I met my inner compass again.
Steady. Quiet. Wise.
I believe art can do the same for you. If you are yearning to understand yourself more deeply, to make meaning of your unfolding story, to soften the noise of the world and hear that inner voice—art therapy might just be the key.
The drawing board is waiting. Maybe this is the breakthrough your soul has been gently whispering to you all along.
What people are saying
“I am so grateful for my time working with Megan, it was very safe and a comfortable place, processing some of the hardest things in my life, she really helped walk me through the process. I felt very heard and understood by her. I also learned important tools that I can use in my daily life as I experience difficulty to be able to walk out my healing. I highly recommend working with her!”

“I don’t know if it’s cause I’m a man and men don’t show their emotions, but art therapy works! I can get my emotions out into the art without verbalizing it.”

“The art therapy with Megan online was like a breath of fresh air! I love how she specifically asked us to make artowrk of the landscape of our emotions from a specific time, the past 24 hours…but that could look however we saw fit. I love the examples she gave too which helped visualize what I would make. I immediately had a picture in my mind of plateaus or levels of various heights and just started drawing this. I turned myself on mute and put on my music and even in just that brief time, putting color and lines to my emotions and reflecting on them from the past day was soothing and encouraging to me. A lot of it was not anticipated, but was enlightening and helpful to my season in life! Megan did a great job of creating a safe space which helped my mind and heart open up in ways I didn’t expect but needed.”

“I was so focused while art making. The time went by so quickly. I am able to process and focus much easier than in talk therapy. I get so tired of processing through talking.”

FAQs
What is art therapy?
1
Art therapy is using art as a tool for clearer understanding of yourself and the world around you. Creating art in art therapy is like looking into an x-ray machine. You can see clearly, visibly, and tangibly through your art everything that is going on within. Art is a portal into the soul. What has been going on inside you for years, decades, weeks, or months is now made visible through your art. This brings self-awareness. Self-awareness is the birthplace for healing.
What if I’m not an artist?
2
Art therapy is for any skillset. Stick figures, shapes, and no skill are allowed. All are welcome in this space.
What is required to call myself an art therapist?
3
To use the title art therapist or to refer to work with clients as art therapy, one must hold a Master’s degree in Art Therapy. An individual with an ATR (Registered Art Therapist) or ATR-BC (Board Certified Art Therapist) credential has completed 1,000 to 1,500 hours of direct client art therapy work and 100 to 150 hours of supervision, all post-graduate.
Holding an ATR indicates national recognition by the Art Therapy Credentials Board (ATCB) as a registered art therapist in the United States. An ATR-BC designation signifies that the individual is both a nationally recognized registered art therapist and has passed a board certification exam in art therapy.
